The T-1000 is described in Terminator 2 (T2) as being composed of liquid metal, or a mimetic polyalloy ( nanorobotics) that can manipulate itself to assume various forms.

In the films, the T-1000 was created by the franchise's main antagonist, Skynet, a rogue self-aware artificial intelligence that directs its robotic creations against the Human Resistance in an all-out war. A similar Terminator, referred to as a T-1001, appears in the Fox television series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. A shapeshifting android Terminator assassin, the T-1000 is the main antagonist of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, as well as an antagonist in Terminator Genisys and the theme park attraction T2 3-D: Battle Across Time. The T-1000 is a fictional character in the Terminator franchise. As such the eyes are much smaller than those shown.so a dot of red with a dot of white is quite sufficient to get the desired effect.Robert Patrick ( Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Wayne's World and Last Action Hero)

This is something that's fairly common with games manafacturers as they need models to paint and photograph before the actual production run starts. That's because it is a metal prototype that is more detailed and slightly larger than the finished product. You're right the eyes are tiny.don't look at the the display model in the rulebook for reference if you look closely you'll notice it has slight differences to the final model. Annoyingly my spray varnish did remove a little of the lustre but this can't be helped. I started with Army Painter Gin Metal then a Nuln Oil Wash three drybrushed of necrons compound followed by final highlight of Humbrol Chrome. As I'm Pretty OCD I decided to leave the vents as it would have bugged me.Īs for the chrome it did take a while to get the effect I wanted. I was going to do this, but I watched my DVD of Terminator Genisys over and over again and realised that the vents don't light when the gun shoots. I see you've added the colour on the gun vents. There are a few more photos and slightly more detail on my blog: Overall these are great little models and I am looking forward to assembling and painting their opposition in the form of the fighters of the noble Human Resistance! the special weapons endoskeletons) are really rather fragile, so a degree of care is vital during assembly and play.Īdditionally I am planning to use these rather splendid models in my own homebrew games of Fallout, where I think they will make fine proxies for the Institute Synths of Fallout 4! however modelers do need to bear in mind that the metal auxiliaries (i.e. They are really well produced models and hold a lot of detail on their small frames. Overall I painted 18 normal T-800 endoskeletons with plasma guns (these are the basic plastic terminators from the box set), 5 special weapons troopers and 9 crawlers (damaged terminators). The post-apocalyptic setting of this particular franchise is one of my favourites and I really think the guys who sculpted these models have managed to emulate the iconic look of the background perfectly. They are really rather lovely models that capture the machine-like horror of the movies nicely. Well I finally decided to get on and paint some of the Endoskeletons from the Terminator Genisys boxed set this week as they had been lingering on my work bench for quite some time.
